Description:

Optimus Quenching Oil is a carefully filtered and paraffinic oil that is used for leveled stiffening of carbon and other alloy layers. Its low viscosity characteristics help to make the oil flow faster at the time of heat transfer, thus enabling quicker quenching. It works ideally where distortion and coloration is required to be avoided at its most. It also allows slow quenching at temperatures where not much hardening is desired.

Benefits:

FEATURES & BENEFITS:

Base oils of inherently high thermal and oxidation resistance in this oil provides maximum oil life. It maximizes production throughput.
High thermal stability minimizes oil cracking and the formation of deposits on metal surfaces, limiting the need for post-quenching
cleaning and stain removal operations.

Application:

  • Heat treating applications involving quenching or rapid cooling of carbon and alloy steels.
  • Heat treatment processes where a uniform hardening of steel with minimum distortion and coloration is desired
  • Slow quenching operations at bath temperatures between 30°C and 65°C where maximum hardness is not required
